SUMMARY:Philharmonie Austin | A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
DESCRIPTION:Philharmonie Austin Chorus is comprised of many of the countr
 y’s finest singers and made their first appearance singing ‘A Festival of
  Nine Lessons and Carols’ in December of 2024. In the 2025-2026 season\, 
 we are officially launching them as a new resident choral ensemble in Aus
 tin\, singing in three concerts! Under the direction of conductor Mark Du
 pere and guest conductor Allen Hightower\, the group will explore a diver
 se range of repertoire from the Renaissance to the modern era. They will 
 serve as the official chorus for all Philharmonie Austin choral-orchestra
 l projects in the future\, including their appearance with Philharmonie A
 ustin in this season’s ‘Mass in B-Minor’ by Johann Sebastian Bach. In add
 ition to this concert\, they will sing ‘A Festival of Nine Lessons and Ca
 rols’ in December and the ‘Hear My Prayer’ concert in March. They will ai
