DESCRIPTION:The San Antonio Museum of Art and Musical Offerings continue 
 their musical tour series with a trip through the Antiquities Galleries. 
 The performance features works for soprano\, baroque violins\, baroque ce
 llo and harpsichord. The vocal works are excerpted from Handel’s opera se
 ria\, Julius Caesar in Egypt\, Purcell’s incidental music to Oedipus and 
 Monteverdi’s final opera\, The Coronation of Poppea. Additionally played 
 will be instrumental music by John Blow and Christoph Gluck.
