Austin Baroque Orchestra
ABO closes its sixth concert season with “Forces of Nature,” a program of music inspired by Mother Nature. Included on the program will be Haydn’s Symphony no. 6 “Le matin,” Jean-Fery Rebel’s “Les Elemens,” and arias from Handel’s “Scipione” and Rameau’s “Platee.” We’ll close with Bach’s monumental Brandenburg Concerto no. 1, complete with three oboes, two raucous horns, and the rarely-heard violino piccolo.
