La Follia Austin Baroque
“Bach’s Cantatas as He Performed Them”
The fourth concert in La Follia’s all-Bach season consists of three religious works for choir and orchestra composed for Lutheran Sunday services. La Follia will perform these works in the manner Bach typically performed them: using minimal orchestra and one-on-a-part chorus.
Whit Martin-Whitaker from KMFA Classical 89.5 will present a free pre-concert lecture on Bach and the music to be performed beginning twenty minutes before curtain.
